Reportedly, IPG Mediabrands, WPP, and Omnicom Media Group have been shortlisted by Amazon for the pitch process to secure its media mandate, as per Campaign US.
The briefing for Amazon’s account was allegedly issued earlier this year in March.
IPG Mediabrands currently holds the position of the incumbent agency for Amazon, having won the company’s account back in 2013 and successfully defended it in 2017. Before IPG Mediabrands, Publicis Groupe was responsible for managing Amazon’s media account before 2013.
Reports suggest that Amazon’s annual advertising and promotion expenditures amounted to approximately $20.6 billion in 2022, surpassing the $16.9 billion spent in 2021 and the $10.9 billion spent in 2020.
