Ogilvy has appointed Mario Muredda as Global CEO of Ogilvy Health, succeeding Kim Johnson, who is leaving to pursue new opportunities after three successful years. Muredda will oversee all aspects of the health business, including brand strategy, advertising, public relations, and medical education, with a focus on accelerating growth.

With over 20 years of healthcare marketing experience, Muredda has a strong track record in various sectors, having previously served as President of Marketing at Avalere Health and CEO at Harrison & Star. He is also committed to community service, chairing the Dream Foundation board.

Devika Bulchandani, Global CEO of Ogilvy, expressed confidence in Muredda’s ability to lead Ogilvy Health, while Muredda emphasized his excitement about the convergence of technology and healthcare. Johnson acknowledged the team’s achievements during her tenure and expressed confidence in Muredda’s leadership. Wendy Lund, Chief Client Officer at WPP, also welcomed Muredda back to the WPP network.

Ogilvy Health continues to impact wellness communications, as evidenced by its recent accolades at prestigious awards like Cannes Lions and Clio Health.
