Nokia has appointed Patrik Hammarén as President of Nokia Technologies and a member of the Nokia Group Leadership Team, effective January 22, 2025. Nokia Technologies manages and monetizes the company’s intellectual property, including its leading patent portfolio.
Hammarén, who joined Nokia in 2007, has served as acting President of Nokia Technologies since October 2024. He has held various senior roles in the patent licensing business, contributing to major smartphone license renewals and the expansion of Nokia’s IoT licensing program.
CEO Pekka Lundmark expressed confidence in Hammarén’s strategic vision and experience to drive the patent business forward. Hammarén will be based in Finland and report directly to Lundmark.
