Nissan has announced a major leadership overhaul to drive short-term performance and long-term growth. Ivan Espinosa, the current chief planning officer, will become president and CEO on April 1st, replacing Makoto Uchida. The restructuring includes key appointments, such as Guillaume Cartier as Chief Performance Officer, Eiichi Akashi as Chief Technology Officer, and Teiji Hirata as Chief Monozukuri Officer. Other roles include Jeremie Papin remaining CFO and expanded regional leadership responsibilities.
Several senior executives, including Uchida and Kunio Nakaguro, will step down on March 31st. Nissan aims to streamline operations, improve decision-making, and enhance strategic focus under the new leadership, which will officially take over on April 1st.
