Shashi Ranjan, former President and Country Head of Sebamed India, has recently assumed the position of Managing Director at Danone India.
During his tenure at Sebamed India, Ranjan played a pivotal role in establishing the company as a reputable and dynamic entity within the industry. Under his leadership, Sebamed emerged as India’s fastest-growing and most profitable FMCG company across various sectors including beauty, baby care, food, and nutrition. He spearheaded the ambitious 10X mission, employing both organic growth strategies and strategic acquisitions to drive the company’s expansion.

Ranjan’s career trajectory boasts a diverse range of experiences, having commenced in the Government of India before transitioning to roles at prominent multinational corporations such as IBM, McKinsey & Company, and Johnson & Johnson.
During his tenure at Johnson & Johnson, Ranjan served as a key figure in driving the growth of the company’s Asia Pacific consumer portfolio, which included renowned brands such as Johnson’s baby, Clean & Clear, and Neutrogena. Additionally, he held global profit and loss responsibilities for the nutrition business, overseeing its strategic direction and performance on a global scale.
