GroupM, WPP’s media investment group, announced the consolidation of its Content, Sports, and Entertainment offerings into GroupM Content and Sport. This unified platform will offer GroupM clients exclusive access to premium content opportunities in India, enhancing brand engagement through culturally relevant initiatives.

Vinit Karnik has been promoted to Managing Director of Content, Entertainment, and Sports for GroupM India. He will lead a unified strategy using GroupM’s scale, expertise, and technology to foster brand loyalty and consumer attention. Supporting him will be Ajay Mehta, previously with Mindshare, and Subhamoy Das, leading the Content and Sports verticals.

This move is part of GroupM’s transformation to deliver more integrated and agile solutions for clients. Prasanth Kumar, CEO of GroupM South Asia, highlighted the benefits of this integration for aligning brand objectives with consumer passions. Karnik emphasized the focus on advanced analytics, data-driven strategies, innovative content creation, and strategic partnerships to enhance brand value and consumer engagement.
