Dream11, one of the world’s largest fantasy sports platforms with over 220 million users, has launched an advertising campaign titled “Poora Fan Bano” in anticipation of the Women’s Cricket World Cup 2024. The campaign aims to rally cricket fans around the Indian Women’s Cricket Team, emphasizing that true cricket fans support all forms of the game, regardless of who is playing. Featuring Indian men’s cricket team captain Rohit Sharma alongside women’s team captain Harmanpreet Kaur and star batters Smriti Mandhana and Jemimah Rodrigues, the campaign humorously highlights the distinction between “Aadha” (half) fans who focus solely on men’s cricket and “Poora” fans who embrace the women’s team as well.

In a series of light-hearted ads, fans played by digital content creators Aakash Gupta, Ravi Gupta, and RJ Kisna engage in funny interactions with members of the Women’s Cricket Team, all while Rohit Sharma encourages viewers to support the women’s squad. Vikrant Mudaliar, Chief Marketing Officer of Dream Sports & Dream11, expressed that the campaign aims to inspire cricket lovers to cheer for the Women’s Cricket Team, reinforcing the notion that sports is for everyone. As a Co-Presenting Sponsor on Star Sports and an Associate Sponsor on Disney+Hotstar for the live broadcast of the T20 World Cup, Dream11 continues to play a significant role in promoting cricket across both men’s and women’s competitions.
