Adani Wilmar Limited (AWL) is honoring SuPoshan Sanginis this International Women’s Day with a four-video series, ‘Stories of Sanginis: A Tribute to Their Strength,’ highlighting the impact of village volunteers in the Fortune SuPoshan initiative. Launched in 2016 by Adani Wilmar and Adani Foundation, the program focuses on educating rural communities about health and nutrition, making a significant difference in India’s villages.
The first video in the series follows a Sangini leading health check-ups, nutrition sessions, and empowering other women. The series aims to showcase the vital role these women play in improving health and nutrition at the grassroots level.
Angshu Mallick, MD & CEO of Adani Wilmar, praised the Sanginis for their dedication to community transformation and improving health outcomes. The series will be promoted on digital platforms and through print advertisements across India to celebrate their contributions.
Since its launch, the Fortune SuPoshan initiative has reached over 2.5 million people across 1946 villages and 190 slums in 14 states, benefiting children, women, and adolescent girls through health and nutrition interventions. This Women’s Day, the initiative continues to inspire healthier and more empowered communities.
