VaynerMedia’s Asia Pacific (APAC) region has appointed Melanie Cook as the new Head of Strategy and Insights, effective immediately. With extensive international strategic leadership experience, Cook will lead the regional strategy team, leveraging her expertise in cultural insights and emerging trends to help brands craft narratives that resonate with real audiences. She will prioritize consumer-centric strategies, aiming for relevance and tangible business results.
In her role, Cook will oversee VaynerMedia’s operations in five key offices across Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Tokyo, and Sydney, as well as all twelve APAC markets. Reporting to Tim Lindley, Managing Director of VaynerMedia Asia Pacific, Cook plans to assemble a diverse team of professionals skilled in analytics, community management, communications planning, and strategy.

Prior to joining VaynerMedia, Cook served as Regional Head of Strategy at MRM MENAT, leading marketing transformations across the region. With a background spanning agency like Saatchi & Saatchi, Publicis Sapient, and BBDO Proximity across Europe, MENAT, and APAC, Cook has worked with leading brands including L’Oreal, Unilever, Visa, Neom, and LVMH.
This appointment follows VaynerMedia Asia Pacific’s selection of Monchaya Koolawong as the new Country Manager for Thailand. Reporting to Lindley, Koolawong will focus on expanding VaynerMedia’s presence and driving business growth in Thailand through strategic solutions that enhance client brands and deliver significant business impact.
