Parks Associates has released its updated list of the top 10 US subscription streaming services for 2024. Prime Video maintains its lead over Netflix, while Disney+ has moved up to third, pushing Hulu to fourth. Peacock enters the top five for the first time, ahead of MAX and Paramount+. YouTube Premium holds onto the 10th spot.
The report shows that 88% of US households now use streaming services, with 42% opting for ad-based models, intensifying competition for subscription services. Notable changes include Showtime’s exit as a standalone service, now part of Paramount+, and increased bundling of premium content.
Parks Associates will present further insights at its annual “Future of Video” event in November. The firm’s Streaming Video Tracker provides ongoing data on over 300 North American streaming services, covering trends, content, subscriber numbers, and market dynamics.
