/Wipro Limited has announced the appointment of Sanjeev Jain as the new Chief Operating Officer, effective immediately. Jain succeeds Amit Choudhary, who is leaving the company to pursue new opportunities. Reporting to Srinivas Pallia, Jain will continue to be a member of Wipro’s Executive Committee.
Sanjeev Jain, who joined Wipro in 2023 as the Global Head of Business Operations, brings over 30 years of experience in leading large, diverse teams, scaling global operations, and implementing Lean Six Sigma and design thinking principles for operational excellence and business transformation.
In his new role as Chief Operating Officer, Jain will focus on advancing Wipro’s mission to build a client-centric delivery organization aimed at sustainable, profitable growth. He will oversee Global Business Operations, the Chief Information Office, the Chief Information Security Office, and the Enterprise Risk Management function. Jain will also continue collaborating with Wipro’s leadership teams on various transformation initiatives.
“Sanjeev has made a significant impact on our strategic thinking and execution prowess in a short period,” said Srinivas Pallia, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Wipro Limited. “Under his leadership, we’ve developed our approach to AI training and upskilling, training over 225,000 employees in AI principles. He has also been pivotal in devising our career development strategy for next-gen associates and enhancing our utilization. As COO, he will continue to simplify our operating model, build a client-centric delivery organization, and drive operational excellence with a focus on execution rigor and speed.

Before joining Wipro, Jain held leadership roles at Kyndryl Holdings (an IBM spin-off), IBM, Cognizant, and GE. He will be based in Bengaluru.
