Akasa Air has appointed Belson Coutinho as its Chief Operating Officer (COO). Coutinho, a co-founder of the airline, has been part of its executive team since its inception in 2022. He previously served as Chief Marketing and Experience Officer, playing a key role in shaping the brand and driving customer-centric initiatives. As COO, Coutinho will oversee inflight and airport services, maintenance, flight operations, and operational excellence, while leading the Akasa Air Learning Academy. CEO Vinay Dube expressed confidence in Coutinho’s leadership, citing his expertise in operations, service excellence, and cost management to further the airline’s vision of becoming world-class.
