Vijay Iyer, after a successful nine-year tenure at Amazon Ads India, has joined Flipkart as Vice President and General Manager of Flipkart Ads. This move is part of Flipkart’s strategy to strengthen its advertising operations and expand its ad vertical, drawing on insights from Amazon India’s ad success. In his new role, Iyer will oversee Flipkart’s entire ad business, enhancing its digital advertising presence.

Iyer’s departure follows several high-profile exits at Amazon Ads India in 2024, including the India Head Manish Tiwary and Consumer Electronics Head Ranjit Babu. With extensive experience in business development, Iyer has led significant initiatives in digital advertising, social media, and video. He has previously held roles at companies like RML Information Services, Komli Media, Azira, and Yahoo, bringing valuable expertise to his new role at Flipkart.
