Bank of Baroda, a leading public sector bank in India, has announced the signing of rising tennis star Sumit Nagal as its brand endorser. This move aligns with the Bank’s commitment to supporting emerging Indian athletes on the global stage.
At 26, Sumit Nagal will help the Bank target younger customers with products tailored for this demographic. Currently the highest-ranked Indian singles tennis player, Sumit achieved a career-high ranking of World No. 71 on June 17, 2024, and secured a spot in the Paris Olympics. In January 2024, he became the first Indian in 35 years to defeat a seeded player in a Grand Slam men’s singles match at the Australian Open.
Sumit joins other Bank of Baroda endorsers, including PV Sindhu and Shafali Verma.
