The Competition Commission of India (CCI) has requested additional information from the All India Consumer Products Distributors Federation (AICPDF) regarding their complaint against quick commerce platforms like Zepto, Blinkit, and Swiggy. The CCI is seeking details on the market share of these companies and whether FMCG firms have exclusive distribution agreements with them. It has also asked for evidence on discriminatory pricing, below-cost sales, and bundling practices.

AICPDF has accused quick commerce platforms of unfair pricing, deep discounts, and exclusive supply agreements that harm competition. They also claim FMCG companies are using these platforms to offload near-expiry products at discounted prices. Last year, the AICPDF wrote to the Food Safety and Standards Authority (FSSAI) about product shelf life, and to the Union Finance Ministry regarding the fund practices of quick commerce players.
