eBay has selected Dentsu’s iProspect to manage its global media duties following a competitive review that began in April. The review included EssenceMediacom, iProspect, and Havas, with EssenceMediacom previously handling eBay’s media since 2019.

An eBay spokesperson highlighted iProspect’s enthusiasm and effective operating model as key reasons for their choice. iProspect will support eBay’s shift to a more centralized marketing approach, focusing on global efficiencies and full-funnel campaigns. iProspect is eager to contribute to eBay’s global transformation, leveraging innovation, data, and technology. COMvergence estimates eBay’s 2024 media spend at over $350 million, with iProspect managing about half. In FY23, eBay’s sales and marketing expenses were $2.2 billion, with a 3% increase in net revenues to $10.1 billion.
