The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) has appointed Jyoti Vij as its new Director General. Shailesh Pathak, the outgoing Secretary General, has resigned for personal reasons, and Vij will assume responsibility for the FICCI Secretariat immediately.
FICCI President Dr. Anish Shah expressed his support for Vij’s appointment, stating, “Her thought leadership, strengths in policy formulation, people skills, and long experience in the organization will add immense value to FICCI.”
About Jyoti Vij
Jyoti Vij joined FICCI in 1993 and has held various roles within the organization, most recently serving as the Additional Director General. A business economist by training, she leads numerous policy areas across different industry sectors. Vij regularly collaborates with senior government officials, multilateral organizations, and industry leaders on various projects and concerns. She participates in several government committees related to industry issues and has managed numerous multilateral projects, contributing significantly to the government’s international investment promotion efforts.
