In a defamation case filed by Reckitt Benckiser India, makers of Dettol, dermatologist Dr. Manjot Marwah and influencer Raj Shamani informed the Delhi High Court they are willing to remove online content criticizing Dettol, as part of a possible settlement. The dispute arose over a podcast and Instagram reel where Dettol was called a “floor cleaning liquid” unfit for skin use.

The Court has recorded a draft settlement and directed the parties to file formal compromise terms. Both the podcast and related reel will be edited within 24 hours, with platforms instructed to assist. Co-accused influencer Ritik Chaturvedi has already deleted the reposted reel and was told not to share similar content again.

Reckitt argues that Dettol is a licensed antiseptic approved for skin use in India and called the claims false and damaging. With both sides open to compromise, the Court awaits final documentation to conclude the matter.
