The Indian Broadcasting & Digital Foundation (IBDF) held its 25th Annual General Meeting (AGM) in New Delhi on December 20, 2024, chaired by Rajat Sharma following K. Madhavan’s resignation as president. During the AGM, key board appointments were announced, including Gaurav Dwivedi, Jayant M. Mathew, and Aroon Purie. The IBDF Board also includes leaders from various media companies, such as Kevin Vaz (JioStar), R. Mahesh Kumar (Sun Network), and Punit Goenka (Zee Media).

Rajat Sharma highlighted IBDF’s 25-year contribution to the broadcasting sector and called for a regulatory framework that promotes innovation and fair competition. After the AGM, Sumanto Bose and John Brittas were co-opted to the board.

Kevin Vaz was elected president of IBDF, with Rajat Sharma, Gaurav Banerjee, and R. Mahesh Kumar as vice presidents. Vaz emphasized India’s growing media landscape and the need to democratize content creation. He stressed sustainable growth through equitable collaborations and progressive regulations, aiming to foster innovation in the sector.
