Led by Assistant Commissioner Archana Dheeran and Chief Food Safety Officer Akshay Goyal, the Food Safety Department has initiated raids on prominent eateries in Noida. The Uttar Pradesh State Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has proactively collected samples from well-known establishments, including McDonald’s and Theobroma, in response to a complaint filed through the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) connect portal. This action was prompted by orders from the District Magistrate (DM) to uphold the quality standards of food and beverages sold across the state.

During the raids, conducted under the leadership of Assistant Commissioner Archana Dheeran and Chief Food Safety Officer Akshay Goyal, the team focused on various prominent eateries in Noida. Among the establishments targeted was Theobroma Foods Pvt. Ltd. in Sector 104, from where samples of Pineapple cake were collected for testing. Concurrently, the team also conducted a raid on the McDonald’s outlet located in Sector 16. The raiding team comprised Food Safety Officers Ram Naresh, Mukesh Kumar, Vijay Bahadur Patel, and others.

The Uttar Pradesh state FDA is currently awaiting the results of the tests conducted on the collected samples. Depending on the outcome of these tests, further action may be taken against the implicated outlets.
