Bandhan Bank has appointed Ratan Kumar Kesh as the Interim Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, succeeding Chandra Shekhar Ghosh, who is retiring on July 9, 2024. The Board approved Kesh’s appointment on July 6, 2024, effective from July 10, 2024, for three months or until a new MD and CEO takes charge.
Ratan Kumar Kesh, currently Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer at Bandhan Bank, oversees various functions including Technology, Operations, and Customer Experience. He joined Bandhan Bank from Axis Bank on March 31, 2023, and has about 30 years of experience in leadership roles across multiple domains in the banking industry.
Kesh has been pivotal in leading IT transformation and optimizing processes at Bandhan Bank. He has previously contributed to significant technological and operational advancements at ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, Yes Bank, and Axis Bank. Kesh holds a B.E. in Mechanical Engineering from NIT, Durgapur, an MBA from NMIMS, and various certifications in quality engineering and leadership.
