Sony Pictures Entertainment has appointed Nachiket Pantvaidya as General Manager of Sony Pictures International Productions (SPIP), India. In this role, Pantvaidya will oversee local Indian production and collaborate with Shony Panjikaran, General Manager and Head of Sony Pictures Releasing International, India.

Shebnem Askin, EVP, Creative Production and Head of Sony Pictures International Production, expressed excitement about Pantvaidya’s appointment, highlighting his extensive industry experience and dynamic execution skills. Pantvaidya aims to scale SPIP’s output to meet audience expectations and optimize distribution across various platforms.

Previously, Pantvaidya served as Group CEO of Balaji Telefilms and held senior positions at Sony Entertainment Television, Star Plus, Star Pravah, and Fox Television Studios. An IIM-Ahmedabad alumnus, he has also worked with BBC and Disney. Pantvaidya will continue his duties as CEO of Sony Entertainment Talent Ventures alongside his new role.
