L’Oréal India has awarded its integrated media mandate to Zenith India, part of Publicis Groupe, following a competitive multi-agency review process.
According to industry sources, the account is estimated to be worth between ₹1,100 crore and ₹1,200 crore, making it one of the largest media mandate shifts in India this year.
With the win, Zenith India will be responsible for media strategy, communications planning, digital transformation, content creation, performance marketing, data investments and media buying across L’Oréal India’s portfolio.
The appointment brings an end to L’Oréal India’s long-standing association with WPP-owned Wavemaker India, which had handled the account for nearly 16 years and successfully retained the business during its previous review in 2019.
L’Oréal India manages a diverse portfolio of brands across mass, luxury, salon and dermatological categories. These include L’Oréal Paris, Garnier, Maybelline New York, NYX Professional Makeup, Kérastase, Lancôme, Kiehl’s and CeraVe.
The agency transition comes at a time of leadership changes within the company. L’Oréal India recently elevated Sanchari Biswas as Head of Media and Digital for its Consumer Products Division, while Jacques Lebel has been appointed as the incoming India Country Manager, effective October 1, succeeding Aseem Kaushik.
The mandate represents a significant win for Zenith India and further strengthens Publicis Groupe’s position in the highly competitive beauty and personal care category.
